Do you like to write? Are you looking for a way to participate in our Liturgy preparation without attending meetings or getting to Mass early? If you answered yes to these questions, we have the perfect opportunity for you.
Our tri-parishes has a team of people who take turns writing the General Intercessions for our weekend Masses. These prayers (which come right after the homily) are an expression of the hopes of the Assembly for our Church, the World and our Community. You can volunteer to write the Intercessions on your own or with a partner. Training and examples will be provided; schedules can be adjusted to fit your needs. This is a perfect opportunity for people who would like to be more involved with our Liturgies but need to work from home. If you like to write, you should give this a try.
So, if you are interested in being a part of this team contact Joann Held at [email protected], and we’ll put you into the rotation.
Volunteer to be a Sacristan
There is a special group of Parishioners at St. James that cares for our Altar Linens, and they are in need of help. Their task is to take turns washing the small towels, corporals and purificators that we use at every Mass. They each take one weekend per month to pick up the used linens and return them a few days later to the Sacristy. This is a very satisfying Ministry where you can see the results of your labor almost immediately! Training is provided.
Please consider joining this Team by contacting Joann Held at [email protected].
Hospitality
Fellowship, Food, Fun!
Please consider joining your parish's Hospitality Ministry and help serve refreshments after Mass on occasional Sundays.
Nurturing bonds with fellow parishioners is important to building a community of faith. We hope you can join us!
