Bereavement Support A Bereavement Support group ministry is being created. We are in need of several individuals who either have experience in bereavement ministry, or are compassionate listeners and are willing to commit to weekly gatherings. We intend to begin the support group in February. If you are interested in becoming trained as a Bereavement Support group facilitator or wish to obtain more information, please contact Deacon Michael Riley at [email protected]
Who is Matthew? What is his Message? Who is his Audience? Are you prepared for the Gospel of Matthew? You hear the Gospel stories of Matthew preached in every three year cycle, but do you know the overarching themes that connect one reading to the next? Deacon Dick Curie will help us unpack these themes and more. We’ll explore the beautiful infancy narrative, the Sermon on the Mount in its entirety, the many miracles Jesus performed, his parables of the Kingdom, the complete Passion narrative, and everything in between. Join Deacon Dick Currie Monday, January 30th at 7:00pm and every other Monday over three months at St. James Church in the St. Matthew/Mark room for a deep dive into this wonderful book of the Bible. Come to one session or as many as you can make. Bring your Bible. No other materials needed.
