The Administrative Assistant will be responsible for organizing and updating Religious Education registrations and parish sacramental records, collaborating on seasonal projects, completing general office tasks and being on-site for Religious Education classes two Sundays per month. This individual will provide direct administrative and creative support to the Director of Religious Education and Youth Ministry. The office is open Monday-Thursday and day-time hours can be fairly flexible. This position will do about 15 hours per week normally, and up to 20 hours during busy seasons.
Candidates for this position should hold an associate degree or a history of related experience. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to maintain confidentiality related to all financial, familial and personnel matters is a must. Folks should have a familiarity with Microsoft Office and Google Drive; including but not limited to Word and Excel. The Administrative Assistant should be prepared to learn the parish database software and other basic computer programs in order to update records. We ask for someone who is willing to be creative and design materials for seasonal updates to classrooms and sacramental celebrations. VIRTUS Safe-Environment Training is a plus, but not required. You may complete this step following the hiring process.
