***Note: Children's Liturgy of the Word (CLOW) is not currently running at St. James or St. Alphonsus.
Children’s Liturgy of the Word is a special program celebrated for the children of the parish during Sunday Mass from September to June. Just before the First Reading at Mass, the Celebrant calls for the children to gather together and dismisses them to a smaller area of the church to hear God’s word in a simpler and more child-friendly and focused way. This ensures that the children hear the word of God on their level. Children and families return to the celebration of Mass in the main church just after the Homily and celebrate Communion with the full parish community.
All children ages 1-10, are welcome to join their respective CLOW groups. If you are interested in becoming a CLOW Volunteer, training and materials are provided. You do not need prior teaching experience to be a CLOW leader and we welcome any member of our parish to become part of the CLOW team!
If you are interested in getting involved at any of our parishes, or have any questions, please email [email protected].
